Welcome to SHCE
School of History, Culture and
Ethnology (SHCE) is aged about
60 years. So far the school has
brought up 3292 undergraduates.
Nowadays, the school is
comprised of 59 faculty members
including 17 professors and 23
doctors and 15 staff, 1447
students with 768 undergraduates
and 115 graduates. Accompanying
the school are two majors of
Bachelorship, one specialty of
doctor degree and 10 specialty
of master degree.

Besides, the school, through
preparatory education, is
charged with the task of our
university cultivating the
people selected from among the
minority into undergraduates and
graduates of more than 10 home
universities including our
university, such as Beijing
Normal University, Sichuan
University, Chongqing University，etc.
In the period of 2004-06, 23
research items of the school
faculty members were invented by
our government with 7 items on
the national level and 16 items
on the provincial level. At the
same time, 43 books and 162
papers written by our faculty
were published with 32
monographs，8
textbooks，1
version and 2 collections of
papers.
Running idea of the school is
that students are the reason and
basis of the school existence,
and scholar accomplishment and
continuous innovation are the
real power and right route of
sustainable development of the
school. Thus, higher qualitative
teaching service and the
teaching and scientific research
with distinctive characteristics
are the aim the school keeps
always pursuing.
